Editoral purpose & content structure

Green Prospects Asia (GPA) is a multi-platform media that provides actionable information to help grow sustainable business ecosystems, particularly in Southeast Asia.

GPA’s principals are publishers and professionals who have been in the business for several decades and have successfully started up and published major magazines in Malaysia and Singapore. 

We launched in April 2011 as a monthly print magazine, quickly building a reputation for quality content and presentation. We also became media partners for some of the biggest “green” events in the region.

From January 2013, this will be replaced with an e-magazine in pdf format that is distributed free, and also downloadable from our website (greenprospectsasia.com). 

Aside from the sustainability benefits, this strategic move allows us to be nimble in content marketing and focused on actionable news and original content in the broad categories of sustainable energy and eco-cities/green buildings. This is an obvious benefit for our advertisers and collaborators like event organisers who often have to operate on tight deadlines.

In October 2012, GPA launched its Sustainable Energy Network (SENNET at GPA). SENNET subscribers get news alerts on the industry, providing them real time information that may impact their business. This service also allows industry players to share crucial information on market conditions.

For greater reach, we also use social media like LinkedIn, Facebook and Twitter to share news alerts and features that have been uploaded on our website.

Going forward, we will organise niche events where, among others, we will feature people behind projects in our case studies. This is where they can meet potential collaborators to explain their business cases. This will be a learn-and-connect forum. 

What we cover

Our coverage of the green sector can be parked under three broad categories: sustainable energy, eco-cities/green buildings and eco-labels and standards.

Under these categories will be topics like renewable energy, energy efficiency, recycling and recovery, biomass and bio-energy, smart grids, water and waste management, transportation and financing.

We deliver our stories through case studies of projects, interviews with industry leaders and commentaries by experts. We also carry green business ideas from around the world.

Selected case studies are expanded, regularly updated and made available to registered users on our website.
